Joshua Zinn

In less than a decade since he joined Brookfield in 2009, Josh Zinn has worked for the company in Sydney, Toronto and New York. That multinational perspective serves him well in a role in which he is responsible for Brookfield’s financial market risk management on a global scale. It will also help him as a member of Brookfield Annuity’s board and chair of the Investment Committee. In those roles, he will be providing general oversight and an additional viewpoint on the company’s investment activities. Josh has extensive experience in developing, implementing and reviewing investment strategies designed for long-term performance, which aligns perfectly with Brookfield Annuity’s approach. As board member, Josh is excited about the opportunity to contribute to both the growth of Brookfield Annuity and the retirement security of Canadians.

Josh is a Senior Vice President of Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to joining Brookfield, he worked for Australian investment firms Babcock & Brown and Macquarie Bank. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
